The architect’s service

Once you have agreed on the initial project brief and budget, it is a good idea to consult your chosen
architect as early as possible. Architects are trained to evaluate the numerous parameters before starting
the design process and are able to give guidance on your project from design to documentation
(planning) and construction and related costs.
The standard scope of an architect’s service comprises:
                     • a design consultant,
                     • principal consultant and
                     • principal agent.
