The contractor prepares interim payment invoices (normally on a monthly basis) and the architect will
review the progress achieved and materials on site and issue the appropriate payment certificate,

based on the quantity surveyor’s valuation.

In fulfilling the duties of the principal agent, your architect is required to fairly judge the work being
carried out and must be impartial regarding the interests of the contracting parties. Having been part
of the project from the beginning, and with a unique level of project comprehension, your architect is
able to guide the construction stage in a manner that best suits your overall requirements as defined
during the design stage of the project.
