What does
the term
‘architect’
mean?
Architects have a unique ability to see things from a wide perspective and to also focus in on small
details that make up all the parts of a project. To serve the best interest of the client, the professional
architect will understand the whole building(s) to be delivered; taking into account all the important
issues, including function and purpose, the character and location of the site, appropriate methods of
construction and value for money, as well as related legal and contractual matters.
